Through Complementary Law No. 064/2024, dated December 27, 2023, the TCA (Environmental Conservation Tax) was established.
This tax serves as a mechanism to promote local sustainable development, prioritizing the protection of Alto Paraíso de Goiás.
The purpose is to enhance sustainable local growth that values environmental preservation and the well-being of residents and tourists, aiming to minimize damage to the environment.
A website has been created to facilitate advance payment of the fee and thus avoid queues.
Payment must be made through an app or directly on the website.
Once payment has been made, a QR code will be generated. This code must be presented at the gates installed at the entrance to Vila de São Jorge and attractions.
The Environmental Conservation Fee is a contribution charged by the municipality of Alto Paraíso de Goiás to finance the protection and conservation of the city's natural, historical and cultural heritage.
This fee is generated by the need for municipal control and inspection, especially due to the increase in people and vehicles during the seasons, causing environmental damage.
The objective is to be an additional source of municipal revenue, which will be allocated to the municipality to minimize environmental damage aiming at organized and sustainable growth.
The environmental fee of R$20.00 will be charged per visitor for stays of up to one week (7 days) in Alto Paraíso de Goiás. If the stay exceeds one week, the fee will be charged again, and so on.
The following groups are exempt from the fee, as long as they meet certain requirements:
If the taxpayer fails to pay the environmental fee or refuses to do so, in addition to the fee, a fine of 20 UFAPs will be charged. In addition, the amount due will be registered as active debt, and collection will be done through protest and tax enforcement.
